Chelom and I have looked at castles all over the world for more than a decade.
It was a release for us from the stresses of busy lives.
I always enjoyed hearing Chelom describe her vision for what we could for this castle or that castle. But we never acted. Instead, we always set aside the dream of restoring a castle and returned to life.
In July, 2022 Chelom sent me a link to the advertisement for the sale of Knockderry Castle in Cove, Scotland. This time, it felt different. I felt Knockderry drawing us in, encouraging to us to take the leap and to actually do what we'd dreamed of doing rather than dreaming of doing it. The circumstances were right and I knew they could never be better, and that if we didn't do it now we'd likely never accomplish the dream of owning and restoring a castle.
It's going to be a roller coaster ride. I'm sure there'll be highs and lows, moments of confidence and doubt. But we will have done it! Thank you, Chelom, for being bold and brave. I can't wait to see what we create together!!
